As soon as your order is confirmed, Back Market will provide you with a proof of purchase document / receipt in your Back Market account. Go to your account
The proof of purchase, or proof of payment, contains all the information related to your order: the price including tax, shipping costs, any discounts, and the purpose of your purchase. This document cannot take the place of a VAT invoice.
Invoice
Your invoice is provided by the seller on request and should include all legally required information regarding the sale.
Note that your promo code, other discounts, and Back Market fees are not displayed on the seller invoice.
To request an invoice, log in to your Back Market account.
What should I do if there’s a problem with my invoice?
You should reach out to customer service via the conversation in your Back Market "Orders page" and selecting the "Get help" button next to your order, who will pass on your request to the seller. Contact the customer service for help if you’re experiencing any of the following:
- Some legal information is missing from the invoice
- Some information is incorrect (e.g., date, price, shipping costs, etc.)
- Your item’s serial number does not match the one mentioned on the invoice
- You want to update an item on your invoice, such as the billing address

Where can I find the IMEI or serial number of my device?
The serial number of the electronic device you purchased (or “IMEI” for phones) can be found on the invoice. If it’s missing from the invoice, it can be requested from the seller in your Back Market account. Go to your account
