The European Data Act (Regulation (EU) 2023/2854) gives users of connected products new rights over the data generated when using these products. These rules have applied since 12 September 2025 and concern products capable of collecting, generating, or transmitting data via a connection, such as smartphones, smartwatches, computers, smart household appliances, connected TVs, home automation devices, and other connected devices.

Your rights regarding your data

You can obtain information about:

  • The data generated by the connected product or associated service
  • The persons or companies that can access this data
  • The reasons why this data is used
  • How you can access, retrieve, delete, or share it with a third party

Back Market is a marketplace for refurbished items. We do not manufacture the items sold on our platform, nor do we manage the associated connected services, such as operating systems, applications, or manufacturer accounts.
