How do 30-day free returns work?
If you change your mind about your item, you have a period of 30 days (starting from the date you received the item) to start a return by contacting Back Market Customer Care. In this case, the seller must refund you for the returned item.
Please keep a few details in mind when it comes to returning your item during the 30-day return period:
- The 30-day free return period begins on the day the item is received.
- If the 30-day deadline falls on a Saturday, Sunday, or public holiday, it is then extended to the next business day.
- Returns made under the 30-day return policy are free of charge as long as your return meets all conditions applicable.
- For purchases made between Black Friday and December 31, the change of mind period is extended to January 31 of the next year.
Once the 30-day free return period has passed, returns due to a change of mind are no longer available. However, if your item is defective and still under warranty, you may be offered a repair or replacement, or a refund if both are impossible.
For services purchased with the device (like insurance, mobile plans, etc.), the service provider’s cancellation or return terms apply. The service provider’s terms may differ from the 30-day free returns mentioned here.

How do I start a return?
To start a return, log in to your Back Market account > "Orders" > "Get help" > follow the prompts. When you've reached the confirmation screen, the return process is now underway. We'll be in touch within 1 business day to confirm your return details.
What happens after I start a return request?
Once your return request is processed, you’ll receive a free return label. Then, you'll need to prepare your device before shipping it back. Follow these instructions carefully to return your device
For your return to be accepted, you must:
- Remove any passcodes or passwords from the item
- Remove any user accounts (like iCloud, Google, Samsung) and deactivate any tracking functions (like Find My iPhone for Apple devices, Find My Device for Android devices).
