How do I take photos of my trade-in before shipping?

Taking photos of your item before you send it off protects you in case anything happens in transit. That’s why it’s a required step for Trade-in. You don’t need to send us these photos, just keep them stored somewhere safe in case they’re needed in the future.

Before shipping, take photos of:

  1. Your device (all angles):

    • Clear and bright photos

    • No screen reflections

    • See specific requirements below by device type

  2. Your packaged device with shipping label:

    • Take one photo showing the shipping label clearly visible on your package

Photos of smartphones & tablets

  1. Front screen switched on (if possible)

  2. Front screen switched off

  3. Back

  4. Left edge

  5. Right edge

  6. Top edge

  7. Bottom edge

Other items

For all other items, take photos of your item from all angles. Make sure to include closeups of important features, and check that there isn’t a reflection on any screens.

Keep in mind that these photos will be your protection if something goes wrong during shipping. So, the more detailed, the better!
