How do I best describe the condition of my device when I trade it in?

An accurate description of the condition of your device and its features is crucial for a fast and smooth trade-in process because the condition of your device determines the amount that will be offered to you. To help you assess your item, you’ll find a detailed description of each condition type by category illustrated with photos.

There are 4 different condition types to describe your device: Flawless, Good, Used, and Cracked. These are based on how your device looks and how well it works.

Important for all devices:

  • We don't accept bent and/or oxidized items

  • iCloud account and all passwords must be disconnected before shipping

What if my device’s conditions have changed since completing the assessment?

You have 2 options:

Option 1. Don’t send your device yet. Instead, go through the assessment again and specify that your device is not functional.

Option 2. Send in your device and the buyer will propose an updated offer based on its condition. If you don’t like the counteroffer, the refurbisher will send your item back to you for free.
