The language used as default language by your laptop is not the one you are using on a day-to-day basis ? Rest assured, there's an easy way to fix that.
How to change the language of your laptop
To select your preferred language, you need to download and install it and then set it as the default language.
Download your language
If you have Windows 11:
- Go to “Start” > “Settings” > “Select Time & language” > “Language & region”.
- Pick your desired language in the “Add a language” list from “Preferred languages” then click “Options”.
- Click “Download” in “Download language pack”.
- Once the language pack has been installed click “Back”.
- Select a language in the Windows “Display language” menu.
If you have Windows 10:
- Go to “Start” > “Settings” > “Time & Language” > “Language”.
- Select a language in the “Add a language” list from “Preferred languages” and click “Options”.
- Click “Download” in “Download language pack”.
- Once the language pack has been installed click “Back”.
- Select a language in the Windows “Display Language” menu.
Set your default language
- Go to “Start” > “Settings” > “Time & Language” > “Language”.
- Select the language you downloaded and then click "Options".
- Click "Add a keyboard" and select the language you just downloaded.
- Go to “Start” > “Settings” > “Time & Language” > “Language”.
- Select "Preferred Language" and then "Add a language".
- Choose the language you just downloaded, click "Next" and then "Install".
