You'll receive your payment directly into your bank account or digital wallet. To avoid delays, make sure to add your payment details, date of birth, and a valid ID.
Add your banking details
- Log in to your Back Market account > "Trade-ins" > "Add payment details" > "Banking information".
- Follow the instructions for the payment method you selected:
Bank transfer
- Choose your bank account type: "Checking" or "Savings".
- Enter your bank account number and routing number.
- Select "Save".
PayPal or Venmo
- Check that the email address provided is linked to your PayPal or Venmo account.
- If the email address is incorrect, update it and select "Save".
Add your date of birth
- Log in to your Back Market account > "Trade-ins" > "Add payment details" > "Personal information".
- Enter your date of birth and select "Save".
Add your SSN (if required)
To meet US tax reporting rules, we may ask for your 9-digit Social Security Number (SSN) so we can properly report 1099-K taxes in the US.
When your SSN is required, we'll guide you through a secure flow to submit it. Just follow the instructions to enter all 9 digits.
We use this information only for tax reporting and store it securely. If your SSN is required and not provided, payouts may be paused until verification is complete. Once verified, payouts typically arrive within 6 business days.
