- Log in to your Back Market account
- Go to My Account > My Trade-ins
- Select Add payment details
- Update your details under Banking information
- Save your changes
Express Replacement orders: Can I change my payment method?
No, the payment method for an Express Replacement order cannot be changed once the process has started.
An Express Replacement is a Back Market service that sends you a replacement device before you return the original, requiring a temporary card authorization to cover the replacement. Once the Express Replacement process has started, the card details used for the initial authorization cannot be changed.
If your card verification fails:
- While the diagnostic window is still open (the time-limited period during which your device issue is being assessed): retry the card verification directly within the diagnostic window
- After the diagnostic window has closed: wait 40 minutes, then restart the Express Replacement process from your Back Market help request
To access your help request:
