Back Market no longer sells gift cards, but if you already have one, don't worry — it's still valid and can be used to make a purchase.

How does paying with a gift card work?
You'll need a Back Market account to redeem your gift card. Here's how it works at checkout:
- Scroll to the bottom of the payment page and enter your gift card code in the "Enter your promo code" field.
- Select "Check this code" to apply it.
If your gift card covers the full amount of your order, your purchase is complete, and no additional payment method is needed. Just be sure to spend the whole thing at once because gift cards are single-use, meaning no balance will be carried over if you don't spend the whole amount.
If your gift card doesn't cover the full amount, select a payment method at the top of the page to pay the remaining balance, then confirm your order. You can pay the remaining balance with any payment method accepted on Back Market.
A few things to keep in mind:
- You can't use a gift card and a promo code for the same transaction. You can only use one code per purchase on Back Market.
- Gift cards are single-use. If you don't spend the full amount in one transaction, you'll lose the remaining balance. Make sure to use it all at once.
- Gift cards never expire, even though we no longer sell them.
How do returns work with a gift card?
You can return items purchased with a gift card within 30 days of receiving them.
Here's how refunds work:
- If you're returning your entire order, you'll receive a new gift card for the full amount via email.
- If you're returning part of your order, we'll split your refund proportionally across your original payment methods. For example, you spent $100 total ($50 via a gift card and $50 on your credit card) and returned a $50 item. You'll get $25 back to your credit card and $25 as a new gift card.
