Programmed software obsolescence is the acceleration of a device’s aging by updating its operating system. It’s ugly, and at Back Market, it’s our mission to fight against it, one renewed device at a time.
Additionally, carriers will no longer be supporting activation of or supporting devices that do not use Voice over Long Term Evolution (VoLTE) technology. This includes all phones from iPhone 6 and older. While these devices will function as music players, they will not function as phones.
The below devices will have further limitations, as they do not support recent operating systems to allow for the majority of applications to be downloaded or functional. They will work with applications that come pre-installed (e.g. Safari, calculator, calendar, etc.), but will not support downloading of apps.
