Get your price offer in two minutes
First, complete the trade-in assessment to find out how much you can get for your device.
Here's how:
Select "Trade-in" from the navigation menu at the top of the page.
Select your device category.
Answer a few questions about your device's model and condition.
Receive your price offer from a professional refurbisher.
Accept or reject the price offer. You can redo the assessment anytime to receive a different offer.
Accept your price offer and finalize your trade-in
If you accept the offer, you'll need to fill out your info so we can complete the transaction and pay you. You must be at least 18 years old to trade in your device.
Here's how:
Log in to your Back Market account, then go to "Trade-ins" > "Add payment details".
Enter your payment details based on your chosen payment method:
Bank transfer: Provide your bank account and routing numbers, the account holder's name, and whether your account is Checking or Savings.
PayPal or Venmo: Enter the email address linked to your PayPal or Venmo account. This can be different from your Back Market email address.
Enter your name, date of birth, current address, and phone number.
What if the condition doesn't match?
If you send an item in a different condition than described during the assessment, the refurbisher will send you a counteroffer based on the actual condition of your item. You can always reject the counteroffer, and the device will be shipped back to you for free within 2 business days.
Ship the device
You must ship your device within 21 days of receiving your offer. Check whether you need to include your device's accessories in your shipment.
Here's how:
Once you've finished entering your address info, you'll receive a prepaid shipping label or QR code via email.
Prep your device for shipping. Back up and delete any important data before shipping. We can't accept devices connected to an account.
Pack your item carefully, making sure it's protected and cushioned in a strong box.
Drop off your device at your nearest "The UPS Store®" location.
Note: Only "The UPS Store®" retail locations accept QR codes. These are not the same as "UPS Access Points", "UPS Customer Centers", or "UPS Drop Boxes", which do not accept QR codes.
Get paid
Before you receive payment, make sure your Back Market account information is complete. Under "Trade-ins", check that your bank account number, account holder name, and routing number are all filled out.
Once the refurbisher receives your device, they have two business days to confirm it matches the assessment. If everything checks out, the refurbisher will process the payment immediately. You'll see the money in your bank account within 3-6 business days, depending on your bank.
How is the value of my trade-in calculated?
Refurbishers have wishlists of devices and the prices they'll pay for them. Using your assessment, we match you with the highest offer.
