These crossed-out prices are called "public prices".
The public price sometimes corresponds to the manufacturer's current recommended price (or RRP), and sometimes to the average price found among different distributors/retailers. The law requires the justification of these prices, even if they can be rather flexible.
We always seek to publish the fairest and most realistic public price possible, but it can be extremely complicated for some types of products.
