Your Back Market Wallet is an in-platform balance linked to your Back Market account where payments and refunds issued by Back Market are deposited. This article explains how to transfer your Wallet balance to your personal bank account, PayPal, or Venmo.
Use this article if you:
- Have a balance in your Back Market Wallet and want to withdraw it
- Need to add or update your bank account details (including your IBAN) to receive a transfer
- Want to check the status of a Wallet transfer in progress
Important limitations to know before you start:
- Your Back Market Wallet is only accessible via the Back Market website, it is not available in the Back Market mobile app
- Your Back Market Wallet balance cannot be used to pay for purchases on Back Market directly, it must be transferred to your bank account, PayPal, or Venmo first
How to transfer my Back Market wallet balance
- Log in to your Back Market account
- Navigate to the Other tab in your account dashboard
- Locate the Wallet section on this page
- If no Wallet section is visible, no money has been issued to your Back Market account
- Select Transfer my balance to my bank account
- Choose your preferred transfer method: bank account, PayPal, or Venmo
- Enter your personal details and account information to initiate the transfer:
- For bank account: you will need your IBAN (International Bank Account Number, a standardized number that identifies your bank account, used for international transfers)
- For PayPal or Venmo: enter your registered email address or phone number for that service
- Confirm the transfer. Your Back Market Wallet balance will drop to zero, and the funds will appear in your account within 7 business days (business days exclude weekends and public holidays)
- After you have initiated the transfer, you can select "Follow your payment on Hyperwallet Pay Portal" to view the status of your transfer or to add your personal info and account details if you haven’t done so already. This info is required to trigger the transfer.
I've forgotten my IBAN — how do I find it?
Your IBAN (International Bank Account Number) is the unique number that identifies your bank account for transfers. Back Market does not have access to your personal banking information and cannot provide your IBAN.
To find your IBAN:
- Check your bank's mobile app or website
- Look at a recent bank statement
- Contact your bank directly
Once you have your IBAN, return to the Wallet transfer form and enter or update it in the transfer form to complete your transfer.
