When returning an order, it is necessary to ensure that you keep a record of the tracking information, particularly the carrier and tracking number, for the return.
You will need to give the tracking information to the seller. When giving the tracking information for your return to the seller try to give as much information as possible (carrier, tracking #, drop off date, etc.)
- If you make a return without providing the tracking information to the seller, and the seller states they have not received your return, the seller will not be able to issue a refund for your return. 😣
For all defects, wrong products, and incomplete order returns, sellers are obligated to provide a return shipping label. However, customers are responsible for printing the labels, applying them to return, and dropping the return off at the carrier.
Customers should provide the drop-off date to the carrier so the seller can be looking out for the return. If possible, get some kind of documentation from the carrier stating that they received the package. If you're able to obtain that documentation, upload that information to the service request for the seller.
This will protect you if the carrier loses your return. If the carrier does lose the return, the seller is still obligated to ship out the replacement device or issue a refund for the defective/incorrect order.
