The crossed-out price you see next to an item on our product details pages lets you compare the price of the item on our site with the price of the same item sold brand new elsewhere online.
The crossed-out price is provided by the seller of the item you're viewing and it corresponds to either the manufacturer's suggested new price or to the average new price found at various distributors online. This is why reference prices can vary from one site to another, or from one seller to another.
As it goes with the refurbished electronics market, some items sold on Back Market are often no longer available for sale as brand new on other sites, making it complicated for the seller to give us a reference price. In this case, the seller can provide the price they usually charge for a similar item.
Rest assured that we work diligently with our sellers to get the fairest, most accurate comparison prices possible.
