How to clean your AirPods ?
Don’t submerge your AirPods in the cleaning solution. Instead:
- Take a delicate and thin cloth
- Dry it and remove any lint
- Dip the cloth in the correct cleaning solution
- Gently clean your AirPods and their case as shown below
2/4 Check the battery
- Ensure the charging case is fully charged
- Put the two AirPods in the charging case for a minute
- Open the case with your other Apple device next to it
- Make sure both your AirPods are charged and try listening to some music or other audio
If the issue remains, move onto the next step.
3/4 Check the balance
Go to “Settings” > “Accessibility” > “Audio/Visual” > “Balance”
Make sure that the balance is set to the middle as this could be the cause of your issue. If it is in the middle, try resetting your AirPods as described below.
4/4 Reset your AirPods
- Ensure the charging case is fully charged
- Put both AirPods in the charging case for a minute with the lid closed
- Open the case with your other Apple device next to it
- On your other Apple device go to “Settings” > “Bluetooth” > “More Info (next to your AirPods)” > “Forget this device” > “Confirm”
- Keep your case opened with your AirPods in it
- Press and hold the button on the back of the case for 15 seconds until its light turns white
- Put your AirPods next to your other Apple device and follow the steps displayed on your screen to reconnect your AirPods
- Play some music or other audio to see if the issue has been solved
