The insurance policy covers damages due to accidental breakage and liquid damage — for 12 months. During these 12 months, you're entitled to 2 repairs or 1 replacement. You'll have access to 24-hour claim approval, and 1-hour walk-in repair service locally or 3-day mail-in repair.
You can renew the contract up to 4 times if you wish.

You’re able to file 2 claims per year and can do so via our insurance partner's portal. After opening a claim, you'll get a response and a suggested solution (repair or replacement) within 24 hours. For repairs, you'll get a free return label instantly, or you can drop your device off at a partner repair shop.
What, might you ask, is the difference between the refurbisher warranty and insurance? The refurbisher warranty is included for every purchase on Back Market. This warranty only covers defects and functionality issues. With our insurance policy, you can get full damage coverage through our insurance partner.
The policy does not include physical damage to the external parts of the item that only affects its appearance, not its proper functioning. Other exclusions include technical faults; damages due to intentional or gross negligence; damages covered by the warranty (manufacturer or refurbisher); loss, including theft; accessories of the insured device; damages due to intervention by unauthorized third parties; and damages due to reasonable wear and tear. Please note an excess applies to each claim.
