Our Accidental Damage plans cover accidents like drops, cracked screens, and water damage.
Extended warranty programs do not cover accidental damage but extend the conditions offered by the contractual warranty for the duration of the purchased program.
With these plans, you're eligible for two repairs per year or reimbursement in the form of a digital gift card or a voucher (minus the deductible, if applicable) usable on Back Market to purchase a replacement if repair isn’t possible.

What’s the difference between the 12-month minimum warranty and insurance?
Every purchase on Back Market includes a 12-month minimum warranty. This warranty only covers defects and functionality issues. Our insurance policy offers full damage coverage through our insurance partner.
The policy does not include physical damage to the external parts of the item that only affects its appearance, not its function. Other exclusions include technical faults; damages due to intentional or gross negligence; damages covered by the warranty (manufacturer or refurbisher); loss, including theft (except when the policy purchased covers theft); accessories of the insured device; damages due to intervention by unauthorized third parties; and damages due to reasonable wear and tear. Please note a service fee can apply to claims.
