What is two-factor authentication?
Two-factor authentication (2FA) is an extra layer of security for your Back Market account. When you log in, you'll be asked to enter a unique 6-digit verification code sent to your email address. This helps ensure that you're the only person who can access your account, even if someone else knows your password.
How do I enable two-factor authentication?
- Log in to your account > "Profile" > "Person details"
- Select "Enable two-factor authentication" and follow the steps
Your account is now secured. Note: Enabling 2FA will automatically verify your email address.
How do I disable two-factor authentication?
- Log in to your account > "Profile" > "Person details"
- Select "Disable two-factor authentication"
You can enable it again at any time.
What happens if I change my email address?
If you update your email address, 2FA will be automatically disabled. You'll need to enable it again.
What if I receive a code I didn’t request?
If you receive a verification code without trying to log in, someone may be attempting to access your account. We recommend that you:
- Reset your Back Market password immediately.
- Check your email account for suspicious activity.
- Use a strong and unique password for each of your accounts.
