What happens when I delete my account?
- You’ll no longer have access to the information and data stored in your account including your message history, alerts, order history, order details, and trade-ins. (We recommend downloading all documents related to your orders before permanently deleting your account (i.e. receipts, proof of payment, order details, etc.).
- You’ll no longer receive follow-up communications from us about any of your past or pending orders.
Some of your data may be retained for a certain period if a recent purchase or trade-in has occurred, even after account deletion. See our updated Privacy Policy for more details
How do I delete my account on the website?
Step 1. Log in on Back Market
Step 2. Following this link
Step 3. Select “Delete my account” to start the process.
Step 4. You'll go through a few steps to confirm your decision. Please read these steps carefully since deleting your account is irreversible.
Step 5. Check the box confirming your understanding and intention to delete your account.
Step 6. The “Delete my account” button will now become active. Select it to confirm.
Step 7. Your account will now be deleted. You'll be redirected to the homepage.
How do I delete my account on the app?
Step 1. Log in on Back Market
Step 2. Go to “Account” > “Profile”
Step 3. Select the “Delete my account” to start the process.
Step 4. You'll go through a few steps to confirm your decision. Please read these carefully, as deleting your account is irreversible.
Step 5. Select “Delete my account forever” and confirm your decision by selecting “Delete”.
Step 6. Your account will now be deleted. You’ll be redirected to the homepage.
What if I'm unable to delete my account?
Your account may not be eligible for autonomous deletion if you have one of the following:
- Outstanding money in your Back Market Wallet
- A pending order
- A pending trade-in
In these cases, you'll be informed through a pop-up message, and we'll ask you to contact us for further assistance.
